MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Hajar Muhammad
I am a passionate sewing instructor with a diverse range of expertise in sewing and fashion. For the last 10 years, I have had the privilege of sharing my knowledge and skills with enthusiastic learners of all ages. My areas of expertise include fashion design, garment construction, pattern making and grading, couture sewing techniques, home decor sewing, and hand sewing.
In 2021, I started a business to construct custom apparel for women, men and children. I design everything from resort wear and streetwear to bridal and prom.
My teaching philosophy is similar to my design style. It revolves around empowering my students to discover and embrace their creativity while building a strong foundation in sewing skills. I encourage my students to unleash their creativity and develop their unique style to confidently bring their visions to life. I am thrilled to share my love for sewing with you and be a part of your fashion journey.

Who is this course for?
Students ages 10 - 14 who want a fashion-centered after-school activity! If you are 15- 18, we recommend taking Portfolio Prep or sewing classes.
What supplies do I have to buy?
You will need materials to complete your projects. A compete kit will be available for purchase.
Where is this course located?

Will there be homework?
No, but we do recommend you practice! You can try out your skills at home for just 1-2 hours each week.
Do I have access to the studio outside of class time?
No, only Studio Members and Designer Development Program students have open studio access.
What is the Refund Policy?
100% refund will be given if you need to cancel your order up until the original registration deadline. 50% refund will be given if you need to after the original registration deadline has passed, but before the first day of class. 0% refund will be given if you cancel on or after the first day of class.
I am not quite 10 years old yet, can I join?
This class is for students aged 10 - 14, but if you aren't 10 yet, you can try out our Sewing Essentials online course. Click here to learn more.
